My C Class C 220 CDI which is 13 months old has been forcasting an A service at 14500 miles for some time.

Today at 13200 miles it changed and requires a B service.

I thought the B service was a second service.

Is the B service more expensive?

If so why dosent the system warn the user, if I had had a service last week I could have gone another 13 miles before the B service.

Any ideas.

Hi Alec,

Yes, I've noticed the same pattern with the Assyst on my E220 CDI. A B service is almost twice the cost of an A service (£360 for a B service, £190 for an A service). After I got caught out, I now make sure that I get an A service after a B service by making sure that the car is serviced just before it gets to 13,000 miles. The extra cost of the B service is not justified. I now get 16,500 between the A service and the B service, but just under 13,000 between the B service and the A service.

Perhaps Assyst assists the profits -
