C220 CDi Coupe (W2037) Panoramic Roof

The sunroof on my 2002 C220 CDi Coupe isn't working. When the electric switch is activated there is an electrical clicking noise as if it's trying to work but the roof doesn't open. Is there a manual override somewhere and if so how is it activated. I think that it's probably something quite simple but thought it best to canvas the forum for ideas before wading in both feet first. The roof has probably not been open since last summer when it worked absolutely fine.

Any pointers or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My car is the same as yours - i did have a problem at one time, but solved it by using the hand wind (supplied with the handbook) - this can be attached by removing the courtesy light (details in the handbook)

As Bob above,,you need to open it manually and lubricate the slide runners with a PTFE or silicon

Cheers fellas, sorted it now. It had a piece of card stuck beneath it when I got it open. Lubricated it with silicon spray and it's good as new now.
