Hi ,
New to the forum & new to Mercedes .... Just bought a 2000 model C220CDI , Tiptronic , overall I am very happy with the car , but one thing is very annoying , when driving on country roads when you let off the throttle to go around bends in the road & then get back on the throttle there is a delay , I have been told that an ecu remap by Upsolute will cure the problem ... what do you think ......

Upsolute are also claiming an increase of around 25 BHP , torque increase & better consumption ..... Has anyone any experience with Upsolute Remapping

If it was me I would ask and indie to test the car with star diagnostics. The reason I say this is there are various updates for the ECU on this model. A remap may actually work against you, ie cure one problem and give you a different problem.:rolleyes:

I've a Sprinter 308cdi which shares the same engine albeit with lesser power. I've had it remapped and it's much more powerful but it's smoky if you're pushing it hard. Fuel consumption is 5-10% better unless you drive hard in which case it's 5-15% worse. I've no regrets about getting it done.

Had it done in Glasgow at a place called Dashfixer, also known as Ashkirk Services. I'm pretty sure it was £350. Memory fading a bit tho, it was done about a year ago.

W204 remap/chip

Hi guys I'm new to the forum, also new to the mercedes owner club, is there anyone the can help me, I would love to remap/chip my 2009 c220cdi amg sport, but I've been told it's not possible as mercedes have incripted the ecu stopping and remap, is this true? If it's not could you suggest where to take it?? I've also been told that if it's possible it would knacker my auto box. Is this true?? Many thanks guys

@Jimbob1

I would have the car read via STAR first to see what exactly is or is not happening!

@Dame636

The 220cdi and 250cdi engines run Delphi management in which there is NO ATP (Anti tuning protection) These can all be done via OBD port, however there are a couple of variations of the Delphi ECU which has no communication to engine maps via the OBD port not due to protection but the ECU must be removed and BDM programmed. We have the facilities to do both!

Many thanks

Regards
