c220 cdi fuel filter change

Hi all,
could anyone tell me how you bleed the low pressure fuel system after you have replaced the fuel filter as i know that they can be very difficult to start if not bled properly????? cheers rob

you will need a vacuum pump to pull it through,

best to fill the new filter with fresh diesel, start mucxh easier this way

cheers for the reply, where abouts can i get one of these pumps and cost????? also where abouts does it connect up on the fuel system????? cheers rob

all i ever do with dads W203 C220 CDI is crank it over in 15 second bursts. usually goes on 3rd or 4th attempt. always runs like a dream, had no probs whatsoever! filling the filter up is always best though, but my old man is too tight to buy a can of diesel to fill it with!!!!!! LOL!!!
