I'm planning to replace the above tomorrow to cure leaks reported in a recent service and also replace the fuel filter.

Can anyone advise if I should take precautions when removing the old fuel lines due to pressurisation in the system, and should I prime the new filter and lines with fuel prior to installing?

There is no pressure in the plastic lines. It's a good idea to fill the new filter with diesel but the system is self bleeding.

All done. Had a bit of drama when I discovered I'd been supplied with an incorrect pipe. The dealership had the right part in stock so a friend had to collect it for me and bring it over.

I'll open it up to see if there are any leaks after a couple of days of motoring.
