Car has been off the road for weeks now.
Not starting, fobs unlock car, display comes on, I can hear the lock motor release and wheel is a bit more free but nothing happens on cranking.
No messages on dash, air con works, radio works etc.

I have put a new battery in and new starter relay - still no use
The starter fuse was blown but I have replaced it,
Any advice appreciated

Which starter fuse? I have replaced a few starter motors on these, with the same symptoms

Have a close look under the bonnet with a good torch for signs of rodents. Its the time of year when engine bays become an ideal home and the fcukers like to chew wires.

I have checked all fuses under the bonnet and all ok.
I put a tester on the purple/white wire which I believe is the starter source, got someone to crank it and I got power,
I then applied power to the purple wire on adjacent harness side, when I give it power, I hear a click and that's it
So am I right in thinking this is the starter motor gone?

Sounds like it to me, assuming you have power on the big red wire to the starter.

Check for voltage at blower motor when blower set to full

If no voltage, check power upstream at regulator
If power present at blower motor regulator, but not at motor, replace blower motor regulator. (if control signal present)

If voltage present at motor, blower motor siezed or brushes worn

If not voltage present upstream at regulator, check fuses/wiring
