C220 Diesel auto

Hello!!
I am new to this forum and would like some help please.
looking to purchase a C220 diesel auto about 2003-2004
model,it will be my first MB so can't wait to get it. This is a silly question i know but how high a milage should i worry about? the car will have a ful MB service .please advise .

What sort of mileage cars are you looking at? You should be well Ok within the likely mileage of a 4year old car.

If you can, try to get a facelift model, introduced in mid 04. They're better in many ways than the earlier model, and you'll be sure its body is fully galvanised.

cars in my range seem to be in the 90.000 to 110.00 miles

Wouldn't be my cup of tea, to be honest, but I guess a 4ish year old that's done that many miles will have done most of them on the motorway so could be less worn than one that's done 12K/yr around town.

I don't know really - you could well be getting to the point where the car will need a fair amount of work. Can you do it yourself, or do you have a good Merc specialist on hand?

thanks Rory for your advice . Been looking on here for a while now and it seems that pre 04 cars are having problems with rust!! so i just might spend a little more and go for a 04-05 car with less milage.

Good call. Spend as much as you can to get the best car.
