C220 losses gear change

I have a problem with a 2 year old C220 it will loss its gear change occasionally,if I stop the car and restart it will pickup again and drive fine.This problem has only started any idea's on how to resolve the issue.

Hi and welcome, you will have to get the fault codes read out, no other way really, at least you are under guarantee for this not very common fault

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner,thanks for your help I'll take your advice and get it checked out.

I should add that with gearbox faults it is not always possible to get a fault read out, when this happens, it is a matter of driving the car until the fault comes up, then driving it to the MB workshop without turning off the engine, the fault can then be read out
