C220CDI W202 Oil Light

Oil light has been coming on intermittently in the hot weather we have been having. Problem usually happens when the engine is hot, has been switched off for a short while and then restarted.

I have checked the oil level and it is 5mm below max. I have also checked the oil using the dashboard indicaor and it is "OK".

Have I got a duff oil switch?

I've had this problem in the past on my C class. It was traced to a dodgy switch which was replaced under warranty.
