C220D fuel filter

Where is this located on the C220 D please? I presume replacement will involve removal of a lot of undertrays, are there any other issues to be aware of?

Depends on the engine model?

On my OM641 it was on the top right of engine looking at it

£35 looks good to me! Can't find anything less than £45 at the moment, this is for the filter with heating

ah ok did not realise heating is involved,however still seems plenty for a fuel filter too me , i will keep looking. and interested as to WHY its necessary to have heat on it?

Thin the diesel so it atomises better .

Probably £80+ from a dealer .

i think on that,maybe theres a simple solution, prior to this heat thing i ussed to fit double cav296 filters and housings .average can filter £10-20 quid .2 x cav296 around a fiver , or was .is the heater a plug in thing on top or is the matrix for this in the filter.

Paid 39 for my filter . Bosch.

Just changed the filter, this must be one of the easiest DIY servicing jobs there is!
One tip, make sure you have 2 jubilee or similar hose clips available in case the replacement filter does not include them, mine didn't.
I got a Bosch filter for £35 which was the best price I could find for a brand name.

I've just changed mine also .along with the buried air filter. Piece ofcake.
