C230 sunroof....

I'm in the U.S. and I'm having a problem here with the C230 sunroof. I go to open it and the black sun shade opens but then it makes one click sound and then the sunroof does nothing. It was warm enough to not be frozen or anything like that, but I'm wondering if anybody has had this problem? Any ways to fix this?

It would be appreciated if you can help me with the sunroof that would be a great help but if not...are there any U.S. based message boards that would be able to help me?

how old is the car what chassis number (first six only)

I guess you are talking about a 2003 C class sports coupe the fault could be that it is not normalised or that the OCP (dome light ) is faulty

yeah it is a 2003 sports coupe C230 Kompressor.

it might not be normalized?
what does this mean...


the OCP (dome light) might be faulty?
are there any ways to check to see if this is the case (maybe the dome light won't work??)

run the sun roof to the extent of its travel in all directions at the limit of travel try to send it further and hold the buttonfor 2-3 seconds .
