C238 replaced seatbelt not retracting as much

I've just replaced my c238 driver side seatbelt and have noticed that it doesn't retract as much as my other one? There seems to be a bit of belt left on the floor and doesn't fully retract back. Is there some calibration that i need to do or a step i've missed?

car is an e class coupe 2019.

Try pulling it all the way out and spray the length of the belt with a silicone spray.
