I have noticed that my C240,1998, autogearbox will not switch from winter to standard mode.Is it just a centre console switch faulty or something more serious?Any ideas please.

- 2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
These switches do suffer dirty contacts and it is worth a try to clean it, you could squrt some lighter fuel into the switch while flicking from W-S
