c240 Front Disc Pad replacement

Hi everyone,

C240 Front brakepad replacement. is this a straight forward job that I could take on myself (Time served truck mechanic) or are there any potential problems that could arise with the on board computer settings etc ?

Also, can anyone give me a list of any special tools required and the best place to buy pads with sensors etc or are MB parts best used ?

Straight forward job with no computer connection on your car, just the brake wear sensors as you say. Remove the guide pin bolts, lift caliper out , remove pads, reassemble.
Original equipment pads and sensors available from MB, Eurocarparts and others , just check prices.

I don't know if your's are different but the sensors for mine only cost a couple of pounds so I would replace them as a matter of course.

Its always important to replace the brake pad wear sensors.
