C250- non runner

Hey Guys,

I am looking for some advice.
I have a 2015 C250 coupe which I have changed the engine due to hole in the old one.
The garage has replaced the engine but car is still not starting. I was then advised the DPF needs to be cleaned which i did. The garage are now saying they are not sure....any help would be appreciated.

It might be something simple like a electrical connection not plugged back in

Can I ask what exactly you mean by 'not starting'

Ignition ok?
Dash lights up?
Fuel gauge live?
Turns/cranks over but doesn't start?
Fires any cylinder?

Might help others to understand the issue.

It cranks over but doesn't start... there are no codes coming up.
DPF has been cleaned
New engine
Garage still dont seem to know

So cranking over is good. But if no codes then no indication that DPF needed cleaning anyway.

So cranks but doesn't start. No fuel then.

Question for your garage: is their code reader actually seeing the ECU?

If no codes then it likely isn't a faulty part or sensor but more likely a poor or not connected plug. Or something is disabling. Security system. Immobiliser?

I guess so....I just hope there's nothing wrong with the engine.
After the engine was replaced there was a code...i was told to get DPF which i did but still no luck.
Also for someone reason my cars door wont lock....could it be the battery ?

Have you tried a new battery in the remote? If the remote doesn't operate the door lock, it also won't disarm the alarm/immobiliser? Just a thought. If you have spare key fob try that?

Do you think the engine is faulty? if so how would i know?
