There's going to be a myriad of different components, possibly including pistons. Easier and less stressful just to change the car.
Fully agree - its going to be a hornets nest - you need bearing lubrication, probably a new ECU, different inlet housings, wastegates ....and who knows what else.

Not sure your insurance co would be too impressed either.

Swap the car, it'll be a lot simpler and almost certainly cheaper.

I'd have thought that rather than trying to re-engineer your car as the Merc turbo version you would be better off having a bespoke system made / fitted for you. Just don't accidentally CHAV it!

Looking under the bonnet of my C250TD there are quite a few turbo specific components, before you start considering engine internals. The effort / reward curve for converting your own car is unlikely to balance satisfactorily. Other components such as the axle ratio will probably also be different, although you could get by not changing those. Just don't be surprised is the engine melts down after a full throttle, max velocity run.

Coincidentally if you are interested in changing to a C250TD mine is on the classifieds.
