Hi all, I'm a newbie so take it easy
I am going to be importing my dads 1997/R C250 TD sport from France. Although it's a UK spec'd car, when he exported it 5 years ago and had the headlights changed to French spec at a cost of 600 euros, the dealer never returned his old ones to him. My main concern is that I don't want to be forking out that sort of money just for headlights. My intention is to MOT it as soon as it arrives in around a weeks time, so i can insure and re-register it. I want to have the headlights ready to go on as soon as. I would prefer to get them from a scrap yard or ebay, but i'm not sure which models and years would be compatible.
My dad has told me it was first registered in December 1997 and is actually the 1998 facelift model. I've surfed the web looking at pictures of earlier and later models, but can't see any significant differences, Is there any techs out there who can clarify which models would be suitable, and what i should look to pay for a used pair.
