c250 wont start

help my 96 c250 wont start,it turns over the red and green lights in the mirror are flashing alternatly my key fob wont work the central locking,the remote is lighting up but wont make anything work

Perhaps the batteries need replacing, or the key needs to be synchronized there are a few posts regarding this problem you could try a search.

thanks torquewrench ive tried both but still nothing ive got 2 keys both do the same

Have you tried looking at remote through a digital camera?,you can see if it is transmitting.
Also put the key in the ignition in number 2 position for about 15 seconds, and re-try.
That is the limit of my knowledge, hope this helps.

The flashing indicates that the alarm is not responding.

Take a look here and try a few things, including dis connecting the battery for 5 mins

i want to thank to the members who reply to my thread c250 wont start thanks to you and the info in this forum i repaired my key myself after 2 autosparks told me i needed a new key (£184.00)and cant be repaired my car works fine now THANK YOU VERY MUCH
