C250TD question

Hello, I'm back as suspected. Having a look round under the bonnet, everything is as new apart from one little niggle. Just below the corrugated air pipe to the intercooler(?), is a cam box breather into the turbo inlet pipe. On this breather there is a very black,oily turd which seems to have been deposited from the corrugated pipe. I can't find any reason but is does seem a bit strange. Any ideas, anyone? The performance seems OK and everything is tight (clips) perhaps it is the breather leaking?
