Hi

Recently bought a new double din touch screen for my C270 CDI 2001 plate.

Only trouble is I'm not getting any radio signal for my new stereo. I know that the existing ariel works since it works on the previous AUDIO 10 Radio.

I plugged on the ISO to DIN Converter from halfords.

Any idea's or suggestions would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Martin.

To test if it is an aerial problem, lift the radio forward so that you can get to the rear and put a length of wire in the center of the aerial socket hole and let the other end hang out of the car, if the radio works, then the wire has probably broken just inside the aerial plug. fitting a new plug should solve it, the center wire is very thin

Without wishing to offend, you did connect the aerial? Only you mentioned the ISO/DIN connector in your post, but not the aerial connector. Wondering if the aerial connector pulled out the back of the Audio 10 as you removed the unit and dropped out of sight (and if you've not done a radio swap before you might not have known it's a separate connector - on the other hand grandmothers and eggs might be springing to mind).

For some odd reason my car has 2 aerial connectors, only 1 of which works. Check yours isn't the same, and that you haven't plugged the wrong one up.

Hi All,

I have connected the aerial, the mercedes connection was like a flat round connection, I purchased an aerial converter from halfords for £4 which connects onto it then into the stereo. I have yet to try a seperate aerial. Although I did notice another small round connection, anyone know what this is?

Thanks

Martin
