I need to replace my center console hazard switch but don't know how to remove the console. I have made it to removing the ash tray and tape holder below the console but am now stuck. There seem to be some plastic anchors in the air vents abo(u)ve the console, but not sure and don't wnat to break them off. Any advice on teh console removal would be much appreciated.

To remove the centre console switch panel you must first remove the radio cassette player and the mounting cage for this unit. There are two small screws at the top of the radio aperture and also two small screws under the edge of the tape holder aperture which must be removed . Then pull the lower edge of the switch panel outwards and unhook the top edge.
You can then access the rear of the switches and disconnect the wiring and remove the switches as necessary.
As you can see it's not necessary to disturb the heating controls or vents.
Hope this helps.
George.
