can any one help .my car drives fine until i accelerate hard then engine light comes on.have changed plugs but no change

You'll need to supply moreinfo if poss?Its a 112 engine i presume,misfire could be due to plug leads,or air mass causing lean mixture.

As 5pares above try unplugging the MAF and try the car,it may be lumpy on idle, but try it to see if the power comes back

How does that get in, contaminated fuel or via the tank

It gets in via the tanks at the fuel stations, the 320 has a one way rail which dont return to the tank, so any muck/water has no-where to bleed of to!!

what would the best way to sort out this problem

The fuel rail has to be removed and cleaned out with carb cleaner, new seals needed when refitting the rail, grease on all seals so they dont get pinched as they go back on!
