Hi All,

Please can anyone tell me the correct (original fit) tyre sizes for MB C320 2002.
Online sellers suggest 205/55/R16 91W on front and 225/50/R16 92W on the rear.
Owner's Manual shows 205/55/R16 91W on wheel 7Jx16H2ET37 but doesn't make clear whether its same on all four wheels. Fuel cover/flap shows only tyre pressures.

There is a very useful link in the top post in this area.
In that link it does show that 205/55/R16 on front and 225/50/R16 rear is a standard fit but not what models it was fitted to.

IMO 17" alloys look great on these models without any ride compromises and there are loads available second hand.
You could keep the 16" set for Winter tyres.

If you want to be certain go to your local MB dealer and ask them to pull up the data card for the original fitment.
Best luck

Or look up your VIN on the MB Vin Decoder app.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I think a trip to a dealership will be needed unless someone with a 2002 model can throw some light on this.
MB Vin Decoder app only give Rim details, nothing about tyres. It does say mix tires on the AMG model.

What sizes are currently fitted? Chances are that's the correct fitment.

Also pull off a rear and look at the back of the wheel. It will tell you the rim size. 8" is 225/50, 7" is 205/55.

Model is irrelevant as its what came off the production line you are after ?

Is the rim size printed on the inside of rim?

Many thanks for the pic. Will have a look in the morning. If all rims are the same then all tyres should be the same?
Correct. You only need check rears though. Fronts will be 7J - if rear is 7J they're all the same. If 8J it's staggered. You can double check fronts if you want to be totally sure.
