Hi all, recently the battery had to be disconnected and the boot got closed, now as no power I am unable to open the boot, any suggestions how I can get the boot back open?

Hello and welcome

Use the metal key in the keyhole by the boot release handle. You may need to clean and lubricate the lock if you’ve not used it before.

Typical that the metal key in fob was broke, git a replacement made and done now, thanks

Always get 2 keys with the car and always check that the emergency metal keys work… ;) (Clean, lube and use the lock in the door and boot every 6 months)

Thanks again, I've just created a new post, as my command screen keeps turning off and a high pitch noise sounds, no stereo controls etc work

I bought a 2001 CLK from my neighbour 3 years old, it was his company car.
Knowing the battery was in the boot I tried the metal key, it was solid & wouldn't move. I lubed it for several days but it still wouldn't move.
I went to Mercedes Stafford who also tried more lube without success. They ordered a new lock fitted it & no charge.
