C350 Cdi Exhaust Flexi.

Hi, I had an health check done today on my C350 Cdi, and they told me the exhaust flexi was leaking. Can this part be changed without cutting out and welding back a new one, or do I have to buy a bigger section? Thanks Steve.

There's this which I guess Is what you say is welded between two sections of pipe. The bigger section could result in 2 full sections of exhaust. You need to look for a photo of a c350 system to confirm.its also possible the leak could be brazed, depending on it's location.

Thanks for your reply, can,t find any decent photos on the internet, so I,ll take it to my friends garage where he can lift it up,so we can see what my options are.

Does anyone know where I can buy the centre section from besides a Mercedes dealership? Thanks, Steve.

Hi, I ended up buying the full centre section as the Flexi was corroded badly around the welded area. I asked MB Wirral to do the job and they supplied and fitted it. I would highly recommend this independent Mercedes specialist to anyone in the Merseyside - Wirral area.
