C350 S204 estate rear window wiper never stops ...

Hi , just got the car and wondered why the rear wiper did not work, found out that the fuse (38) for the rear wiper was removed. Put in new fuse and the wiper wipes no matter if its turned on or off !! it never stops ...

Do anybody know what is going on ?

I'd be look at water in the motor casing first ....

The supply to motor won’t be live all the time, so more likely the wiper relay has failed in ‘on’ position? (Switch next to check after the relay)

time to get out the multimeter

Still, look on the bright side - if you live in south Wales it rains every fifteen minutes for a quarter of an hour, so you don't need a switch!

Wish I could get the rear wiper on my S204 to work more than once every 8-10 seconds! On a fast road in even light rain it's close to useless as the tailgate of an estate is a massive muck magnet! Thankfully the wing mirrors are excellent, otherwise I'd be blind to anything going on behind me!

Thanks, the relay is okay, I must try to measure power in the plug that supply the wiper motor.

Yet there are retards who remove the whole mechanism and insert a butt plug on certain hatch & estates and have pride in their work with a stupid sticker .

On the 968UK forum there are plenty of those (retards!) who consider it a benefit that the CS has no rear wiper (weight saving!) and Sport owners who also think it a benefit! Having owned a 968 coupe for 12 1/2 years, I guarantee having a rear screen wipe was a serious plus!!

I like those 968's , a refinement of the 944 , 968 Club sport and 944 turbo S being the crème de la crème .

I have power all times to the wiper motor, even if it is turned off and even with out ignition on ... Strange...
