C43 digital climate panel lighting

Hello everyone, This is my first post on this site and i have just bought a 1999 C43, the car is great but when i was driving it the other night i noticed the digital climate panel does not illuminate. Are there any bulbs that can be changed in this unit??

Just to let you know i have fixed it. You need 2 keys to slide out the climate control panel( they are the same ones to remove the stereo). Underneath the unit there is a bulb holder which twists to remove, inside you will find a little bulb-Hey presto fixed.

Sounds like a simple job! How about when the LCD segements start to disappear randomly? If I run my finger over the display they come back again.... :?:

Must be a common problem as mine does it occasionally but it doesn't annoy me enough to buy a new unit for £500 from MB!!!.

Quite! Doesn't worry me as much as £500 either
