Hi, I have a B200 (11/06) The command was stolen and in the process the 3 antenna cables (gps, phone and radio) were cut, however all other connections are still intact. Mercedes told me that these cables are fibre optic and must be replaced (€61 + VAT + 15 hours of labour :-x) Looking closely, they look like normal antenna cables to me and I just want to replace the connection plugs. I would appreciate if someone can help.

why worry? Presumably the insurance co is paying (Command costs a fortune) so let them argue the point. No point doing a dodgy repair if someone is willing to pay for a proper job.

the dealer is right they are all fiber optic and have to rip out of the car to replace them as you cant just connect on to them
