E250 w212 14 plate
Hi all,
Before I change my front discs on my 14plate E250 can anyone inform me how difficult is it to remove the caliper holder bracket as I will be using a trolley jack and axle stands so won't have that much leverage.
Thanks

As per above, also turn the steering to improve access (just be mindful of the vehicle moving sideways if you’ve only jacked up one side)

I use a 19mm spanner and a 4 lb mash hammer to shock them loose , if it's locktighted it'll be a pita all the way off .

I got a set of TRW (what was factory fitted on mine) disc and pads from the auto doc app. Way cheaper than anywhere else. They have all brands

Done mine about three weeks ago.
A long breaker bar and turning the steering to full lock to give better access required.
On my CL the bolts are Loctited and torqued to 180Nm! I don't know what they'd be on your E class.
Remember to put a touch of thread lock on when refitting.

Working on the drive makes things harder, you have very little room .My caliper bolt was tight .Without room i was stuck .So after so many failed atempts i came up with a small bottle jack under a good ring spanner ,,jack up the spanner untill the bolt come loose
