Calling All Merc Srinter Owners!

Hi Van men,went to tax my son's sprinter and thought I would see if the rate of duty had changed,looked down to light goods 3.5 or under etc,£5.00 increace.not to bad concidering what the buget produced for cars,happened to go a bit further down to the cars and noticed a one line rate for euro 4 3.5 and under rate £120.00 a year? so phoned the DVLA asked about it and it's for vehicles start of 2003 to 2006,so asked why my son's 2004 was £185.00? ah said he just go down to the local dvla office and they will reregister it as a euro 4 and it's then £120.00 have a nice day thank you for calling!Now maybe all sprinter owners/drivers allready know this little swindle by our nice DVLA men but if not and knowing how many euro4 sprinters on the road get your selves down your local dvla and get them rereged from private light goods to EURO 4s and have a show/meal etc out with the wife or whoever and a grin my son and I are :lol::lol:

Well van men it,s not often but boy have I got a face full of "EGG",It would appear merc's did not put the EURO "4" engine in untill mid 2005!!!So ours missed it by 7 months but for anyone who has a EURO 4 engine for sure check just to make sure you are only paying £120 per annum. the year means nothing just that you have a euro 4 engine.soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry!!
