(CH5, well maybe we can all recieve it I just dont know anybody who tried!)

Aktually SLinKY, Toff will be hard pushed to do his tyre wasting slides and talking to camera bit at this event.

There was a Top Gear thing a while back where they put six cars in a big drag race, the result was a bit surprising.

there was...didnt a cerbera win it........

toff went to the event last year on rode as a passenger in that Ruf 911.

maybes we should get ourselves orgainsed and go. could be an opportunity for a meet?

all we need is someone to find a Brabus SLR for us to enter and show them. Or maybes we could ask McLaren Intertnational for a an MP4/17. They must have one lying around somewhere. they could rig up the transimisson for top speed and sort of low profile wings.....and it has a Mercedes engine so it counts too.

wonder if we can find someone who would ask. Imaging the chav's faces when we drop one of them out the back of a truck and fire it up.....my word....

did you see the BAR with Button do a drag race with a MotoGP and a F1 inshore powerboat? The f1 car pounded the oppositon.

Soemthing else made me laugh a few years back. The CART series in yankland went to the Canadian GP venue in Montreal. It was around 6 weeks after F1 had visited. Jacques said it would be interesting to compare the speeds af them yank things....

their fastest lap for pole position was 6 seconds slower then the slowest racing lap of an F1 car...which meant the Minardi's would have locked out the front row and lapped everybody 12times if they had been in the race.

me thinks a bit of explaination required...

chavs will be in huge numbers watching, not competing. unless a clapped out capri turns up.

and we have a member getting an S 65. lets see if we can twist his arm to turn up......

i notice this BMW owner has infiltrated our site....at least he is asking about getting a proper car there.....if we did do you think he would buy on and pass the Beemer on?

and is anybody thinking about going?

come on lets find out!

Would your standard 'Eagle star' cover you in the event of a mishap. I presume the organizers have a huge public liability premuim.

Your normal insurance will almost certainly NOT cover you for trackdays, but that's something you would have to check.

The organisers provide no insurance cover that would cover your car, but we may be adding some personal accident insurance as an additional benefit.

Understand your point about the chavs, slinky. Trying to vet the audience too but it may be hard, maybe we can make it a burberry free zone!!

Nope you can't pay on the day, its ticket sales in advance only.. (or thats the plan at the minute!) You just download the normal form, fill in the basics, ignoring the car stuff and attach a cheque for the relevant amount and send it off.. !! you'll get a confirm by return, which you use as your ticket on the day!

Easy really...... oh and you might wanna bring some earplugs!!!

Cheers
