Cam chain change?

Just a quick question as my 2010 E350 CDI is now approaching 100k do i need to change the cam chain? Depending on what you read its either yes between 40k-100k or no only if there is a problem (Everything is fine currently).

I think and don’t quote me , you can look through the oil filler cap and see the chain tensioner to get an idea of how stretched it may be , I’ll see if I can find the thread

Me dad's om642 had 136k on it . Sold it , as new as the day he bought it.

OM642 is generally good (duplex chain) it's the M271 that really suffers with chain and sprocket
