I cannot believe I have just locked my keys in the boot of my E220 CDi year 2002... Is there anyway I can get into the boot with the car locked and no spare keys????
You could try the AA or RAC if you are a member. My friend locked himself out of his BMW and the AA bloke toook about 20 seconds to get in.
Mercs still have pop up buttons so as far as I know they can be got in to with a blade between the door and window if you know how. (for reference, I don't). Do be prepared for the alarm to start going off though
If you use the three button remote to open the boot, with the rest of the car still locked-you only then need to close the bootlid and all is secure without any input from keyfob.
All sorted thanks, the AA managed to get the doors open but then the boot was still locked, but he tracked down a vacuum pump that opens and locks the doors and boot (located under the back seat next to the battery) and blew some compressed air in..... and hey presto it popped open.
In the W163 when you unlock all the doors you can open the tailgate, then close it and all the car locks again so it is very easy to lock your keys in it, but if you open one of the other doors it all remains unlocked when you close the tailgate
