E350 CGI conv 2010 3.5 petrol
Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum but love Mercs. I'm on my 16th! but have an issue. I have a 2010 E350 CGI conv but an issue has developed with the revs and drive feel that I am struggling with. I've had full diagnostics done, changed sparks and filters etc but nothing seems to work.
Basically, when driving (auto but any gear) acceleration and deceleration is fine and smooth but at a constant speed/rev (any) the revs fluctuate by about 100rpm constantly. It's not just a faulty rev counter, you can feel the car adjusting and the car feels more like a boat than car! Any ideas or previous experience of this would be really helpful to know a solution. Thank you in anticipation.

How many miles has it done? I wonder if you have an ATF leak? What hardware was used for a full diagnostic? Ideally it needs to go on STAR/Xentry and see what it's doing

Hi Bob; 113k. I've had the transmission checked and apparently OK. I'll check on the STAR/Xentry option and thank you for your guidance, really appreciate your time.

Maybe throttle body needs re-adapting/throttle actuation? If this can be done on your model?
There have been a lot of instances of rev flair on the forums over the past 12 months on the E-class.
In one instance where someone got to the bottom of it, the rev flair wasn't clutch slip or anything gearbox related at all but the throttle body chucking a wobbler (after 2 or 3 ATF changes and money down the drain).

Thank you Mr G, really useful info. Probably wouldn't have looked at that until £thousands later!
