I think i may have found where water sometimes leaks out at the front of the car: finally got round to replacing a sidelight (had to hard wire it in as bulb holder corroded but no problems, works fine) to find there's almost an inch of water in the bottom of the LH headlight cluster. As the lens is cracked and it's clearly no longer sealed can i drill a hole in the bottom of the plastic headlight unit to let the water out?

With the climate here things dry very quick so should rarely be condensation but now i see why there has been condesnation even after 30 days without rain! Yes I know I should replace it but that is more expensive than you would think...and can't be good for the vacuum line to be sitting in this puddle of water...

Don’t see why you can’t put a drain hole in. I do that in my landy, you can’t stop it getting in so you may as well let it get out

Many thank both for quick replies, a fair bit of water came out when I did it, couldn't get in the LH corner bit which also harbours water but atleast 3/4 of the water is gone...

Good idea
Tiny tiny hole or two perhaps

Porsche Cayenne MK1 955 also have this issue - probably would have worked well there
