cant get a manual - i need advice

i have recently purchased a 1983 380se automatic
and i have 2 belts missing from the very front of the engine not knowing what theeses belts are for i cant replace them could anyone help i would be grateful

Hi

I would suspect that one is for the AC compressor. If this is the case the compressor is more than likely seized. Hence why the belts missing.

It may well be that the previous owner took the A/C belt off to save fuel as the engine uses about 10% more fuel with the A/C running; removing the belt means that no energy is lost from simple friction as well.
