Car Alarm When Opening a Door

Hi all,

Has anyone ever had a problem with the car alarm sounding after opening a door? It sounds for around 20 seconds then goes off, but it sometimes starts sounding again straight away.

It is intermittent so doesn’t happen all the time, it also happens with more than just 1 door.

Took it to a local garage but it the Alarm didn’t sound and also no codes came up on the diagnostic computer.

I’d check that the battery in the alarm hasn’t corroded and started doing strange things

I note that you state A class 2021 in your profile. Is the car still under warranty?

I'd be a bit miffed if its corroded already and its a 21 plate car!
