For not rhyme nor reason my car alarm has started going and doesn’t stop when I unlock the car. Started last night, eventually just left the car unlocked.

Just out with the car now, parked up and walked away - alarm started.

Turned off the internal movement sensor, re closed the doors and bonnet.

I don’t know if this maybe battery related? Any suggestions before I call my Indy garage tomorrow for some advice?

Battery leaking inside the alarm unit can cause random triggers - also flying insects inside the car, although it’s cool enough to dissuade them from airborne activity at the moment

Turned out to be water ingress to the electrics at the siren, given the design of the drainage channels on the front end - it just waterfalls water down onto the Siren inside the passenger wheel arch.
