With my last two cars, I was somewhat spoiled HiFi wise - my C270 had a Bose system fitted and my B*W had a Harmann Kardon set up. Now I've got a W209 CLK with a 'vanilla' hi-fi fitted (well, it's COMAND) and you begin to realise how good the other systems were.
I think that the first change to make is to replace the mid / bass speakers on the rear parcel shelf and doors. Are MB speakers rubbish or do I need to change the whole system / add an amp too to make some real difference?
Secondly, given some bad experiences in the past with the quality of work by car audio fitters, could anyone recommend a competent fitter in / near Northampton?
Thanks in advance.
