my c,class was done with merc, just come through for renewing at £850!!!!!!!!! went to go-compare.com....................£290! same level of cover, you can get it cheaper!!!!

And I only pay £425 for my SL500 thats with MB insurance,,probably just because I am old

Can get it for under £100 if you take third party and voluntary £1,000 excess. I hope I don't have to pay £1,000 if there is an accident.

MB insurance probably underwritten by NU,mine was. Got quote from NU and beat up MB insurance...they matched it!

Another way to reduce your premium not mentioned in the Telegraph article is to have your wife/partner (if you have one) on the policy. It brings down the premium as it is thought you are more stable in relationship (Mad I know!! but true, frankly it makes me very much more unstable at times!))

I must try it with my ex as she still loves me.

Did you try moneysupermarket?

Be careful what you put on your details. I entered the wrong NCB, AA charged me an extra £24 but then there is money back, I still gained £6.
