Car screeching

Hi, my car screams from the inside when locking or unlocking . Any idea what I should check for ?
I bought a very old beat up Benz, and slowly but steadily am fixing it up but I knew nothing about cars before hand

You could be right. If the noise in the boot, thats a harsh place to keep the mrs

Don't know though - there have been one or two of my mrs that should have been kept in the boot.

Hi, my car screams from the inside when locking or unlocking .

A screech is from the tyres and outside.
A scream from inside the car would be the vacuum pump used in the lock/unlock system.
