Car Wax

Has anyone tried the Meguiars car polishes? I bought the Meguiars Nxt Generation tech wax and I am really impressed with the deep shine and no swirl marks. Just wondering what you guys/girls thought if you have ever used it.

Car polish has been done pretty much to death on this forum. Try doing a search on "polish" and you will find a few threads. One of them has some unofficial comparisons which i think includes the nxt. (oops, no it didnt!)

It seems to be a very subjective issue and so it is "each to their own"

I'm going to get some Speed Glaze (Meguiars #80) for my 190e (black is a killer for swirls/light abrassions). I use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax but sadly living in Ireland (or UK for that matter) the gloss does'nt tend to last as rain deposits spoil the effect.

Mike, are you suggesting it actually rains in Ireland? or only between the showers?

i have MER and just bought some autoglym.

gonna do one of the cars bonnets in both to see which i like. but autoglym is going on the merc from choice. MER does bring up the paintwork well on a well painted car, but the scooby i had it just would not get a good shine. autoglym did better. Scooby had cheap and thin paintwork.

I thought it was unlucky to wash a merc anyway.

Did I see something the telly box tonight about Flash making a car wash.

Let me get this striaght, ...a product known for their scouring detergents are now making a product to clean paintwork!
