Car has been running fine but last 10 days, very intermittant starting problems from cold, and warm... car is 1995 N Reg C 200 auto elegance.
the alarm and imobiliser with the red + green led on the rear view mirror and door work i think as they should... read something about OVP relay, checked in the passenger side engine compartment and it seems to have one small silver relay with 10 amp fuse, fuse is good.

Any suggestions why it will now not turn over the engine... did the wiper stalk change last year and fitted rear reversing sensors too ...

regards

Mike

if the engine is not turning over it sounds like you have a starter motor fault either the starter or the switching relay. I would check the voltage to the starter and go from there

AA came out, car does not MAF but crankshaft sensor which he took out and cleaned
the car ran for 10 secs irratetely and stalled, could this be a faulty sensor? He did not have any diagnostic software to check for error codes... would this show up on checking? Fuel pump fine, and starter motor was ok he said.
Also looked at the OVP relay and the fuse was fine, any way to know this relay is also faulty, or is it to buy one and try... if so where is the best place to buy both sensors.
any part numbers available... any help is greatly appreciated.

Your Mercedes
S class
The alarms on this model were well known for causing non starting problems, many of the dealers bypassed the alarms as a last resort..have a search on here for alarm and non starting problems..
