Carburettor popping

Can someone help with a carburettor problem on my recently acquired 77 250 saloon. I can not get it to run smoothly at all it seems to be all over the place one minute revving it's head off at tick over and then next minute no tick over at all also it's popping through the carb when you rev it? Seems to be some vacuum pipes not connected as well could do with a diagram/layout of the carb

Get the vacuum pipe sorted and the ignition timing using a strobe. Also check the valve clearance.
