Carphone - Has anyone fitted one before ?

Hi , im wondering if anyone has ever fitted a Carphone of some sort into their car?

I was looking at fitting in the Nokia Cark-91 for My 6310i.

Im just trying to work out how difficult or if there are any things to watch out for?

Jason,
For years I used a £40 hands free kit that simply pushes into the cigarette lighter, has its own speaker/vol control/charger and is adjustable.
Because it is adjustable it worked in a Golf, 300TD, C280 and (shame) BMW 5 series.
Anything else required wiring/drilling and provided no more facilities.
Carphone warehouse has them.

Yeah , i got onw fitted in the end . A nokia Cark91 with the mercedes mushroom console to match the inside of the car with the holder/charger and the speaker and mic. Its amasing , no more messing about with annoying hands free kits.

do you also know you can get a mic for it to put in the headlineer next to the rear view?

You have seen Mbenz's car from the get together . I got the same mic , but , mind is on the A pillar just as the headliner meets the fabric . Works well there as anyone in the car can talk through it , but it cancels out the noise. Its a clever bit of kit.

I found Mbenz's site ages before i found this forum. Nope , i did not make it to this meet , but i hope to go to the next one....

I got an Azurite Blue C240 elegance with Mushroom leather , its not easilly missed.

James:  is this a complete kit from MB or what, and how much did it cost ??

I have a Nokia 6210 which I was about to offload via E-Bay as I've upgraded.  However, if I can a MB custom holder/hf-kit for it I may consider keeping it.  I'd be grateful for any info on your kit and how easy it was to fit etc.

I notice the CARK-91 kits can be had for between £60-£80 on E-Bay (sometimes much cheaper).

I got the carkit from a local hifi installer and it was £155 fitted with a tax disc aerial. The cark91 comes complete with everything you need exept the aerial which is optional. The cark91 fits both 6310i's like mine and also 6210's.

ohh forgot , mercedes want £100 for the console as well on top of the £155 for the complete install ....

It is worth it tho, looks like it should be there ...

Yes my carphone looks exactly like mbnz's only i got nokia written on my mic.
