Catalytic converter

Hi
What are the symptoms of a catalytic converter coming to the end of its life on a petrol A160 ?

Member Allidle has recently replaced one of these motors . I am hoping he will see this post.
Are you sure it is the cat? Maybe you could post some of the symptoms.

I suppose that it will fail the MOT? (Exhaust gas not clean enough). I wonder what would happen if you unplugged the sensor on the Cat - would the ECU throw a wobble?
