CD based Sat Nav on Comand 2 W163

I have the original UK and Eire Cd for this unit. Nor the COMAND manual or the menus indicate a posibility to select a destination by postcode. Is this the case please?? (Pain if it is!).
I am to purchase the 2009 update Cd, does that change any of this and or the user interface or is it merely a data( roads etc.) update?

I think the post codes came in on the 2007 cd.

But it is still just 5 digit post code search so not very effective

The new disc may allow on more digit on the post code.

Very easy to use,,go to a new destination page, and you had the letters and numbers, just punch in the first two letters and the next 2 numbers and the list of roads within that post code will come up. just click on that road and enter the house number

Postcode support on the Teleatlas Dx disks came in on the 2004 disk. Since then it has been available on Comand 2 systems that have had the MY01 update applied. This should be pretty much any W203 with Comand 2, any ML with a163 820 36 89 comand unit any W208 with a208 820 40 89 or A208 820 44 89 comand unit plus any W210 with either A210 820 54 89 or A210 820 56 89 units fitted.
