I need to get cables from behind the centre console (so far so good) to the tyre well at the back. The obstacle at present is the large metal footplate with the Mercedes logo across the passenger entrance. If I can lift this then I can route the cables under the carpets and plastic mouldings across the entrance. I don't wish to damage the footplate, but can see no obvious way of lifting it. Can anyone advise please?

remove passenger seat front and rear use something wide and blunt to push the carpet down next to the sill trim and with a little push the cable will drop into a gap between sill trim and carpet the tricky bit is removing the eyelet in the boot space next to the wheelarch once removed you can just get the cable through the gap. good luck
