Just acquired a CLK Cab with Comand BUT no mapping without the DVD so must retrofit a CD changer. Am told there is no aftermarket and am stuck with spending £700 + at dealer. Anyone know better? :
Thanks for this Marnix. I have found several units "mc3010". Dealer quoted part A2038703389 but several on ebay are A2038209089. An ebayer offering one has told me they are the same unit. I suspect there was a change at the 2005 facelift. Who is right? What do the MC no mean. My dealer does not recognise them.
With the latest cars that had the Audio 20 double din units as standard (as your 2006 should have) the MC 3010 may not work.
If it's fitted in the boot, it should be model MC3110 as I had in my E-class (2005 model)
I will possibly be looking at the same issue. Have seen an E320cdi I like - has command with dvd in boot and single slot in-dash cd but no cd changer. Will cost £600 to retrofit. Anybody know where I can get a reasonably priced one? How difficult are they to fit? It's a 2004 04 plate.
