On Thursday I am having the "Comand" system fitted to my C270..
I am toying with the idea of having the CD multichanger fitted at the same time..
What I would like to know is this..
Does the CD Multi-changer play MP3's ?
Alfie at Comand.com said he recommended the Dension
Gateway 500 ipod interface set up..
Can anyone comment on the set up he recommended?
Where does the iPod live if I did go for this set up?
Does the iPod charge up from this device?
I assime using either this device or the CD multi-changer is possible whilst using the Comand unit in "Navigate mode"..

Sorry for all these questions but its not far off fitting day and it goes without saying its going to cost a fair few pennies..

Once again , thanks for any input (pardon the pun)..

With the CD changer selected you can use the navigation as normal, and it is just another sound source that will partly or fully mute when directions are being given.

Some changers play MP3 some do not, some display all of the tracks, often down to the recording method and disc used

On phones I know nothing

simonarius has not posted back with his new Comand fitted, I wonder if he got lost going home, or if the navigation failed and told him he was in the middle of the north sea

lol malcolm, hes probably enjoying cruising with his new system!

im not sure which comand youre having fitted, would the satnav disc go into the front slot or a drive in the boot? if its going into the boot, try to burn some mp3s onto a dvdr disc and play it in the front slot. i was desperate to have a changer fitted in mine but when i realised i can play mp3s off a dvdr i was happy! just a few dvdr discs to handle then.

good luck
